Getting Started with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

MRMarcus Reyes· Chief Technology Officer April 2, 2026 6 min read

AKS is Azure's managed Kubernetes service. It removes much of the operational burden of running Kubernetes — but Kubernetes still adds complexity you should adopt deliberately.

What AKS handles for you

  • Managed control plane, upgrades, and scaling
  • Integration with Entra ID, Azure Monitor, and networking
  • Node auto-scaling to match demand

Adopt it for the right reasons

Reach for AKS when you have containerised microservices that need orchestration — not because it's fashionable. For simpler apps, Azure App Service or Container Apps is often the better fit.

We help teams decide on and run AKS without the operational pain.
